Coventry Code Lab is a sending address, not a separate business. Everything runs through Midlands Code Lab Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17278808, based in Quorn, Leicestershire.
Worth saying plainly, because Coventry businesses get a lot of web design email from firms that only look local. Ours has our real name on the bottom of it and our real website is midlandscodelab.co.uk.
What Coventry is built on
Coventry made bicycles, then watches and silk ribbon, then cars. Alvis, Daimler, Humber, Jaguar, Riley, Rover, Singer, Standard, Triumph: Coventry marques, all of them. Jaguar Land Rover still runs its global head office out of Whitley.
The German air raids of November 1940 took most of the old city centre with them, which is why the middle of Coventry looks the way it does.
Two universities. Coventry University sits right in the city centre and was Lanchester Polytechnic until 1992. Warwick is a Russell Group university founded in 1965 and, despite the name, its campus is on Coventry's south-western edge in CV4, about three and a half miles out from the middle.
Coventry was UK City of Culture in 2021. The official evaluation counted over a million points of engagement across the year. Far Gosford Street has FarGo Village on it, which is where a lot of the independent traders and small studios ended up.
One correction, because the adverts get it wrong. The games cluster people call Silicon Spa is nine or ten miles south in Leamington Spa, where over a thousand people work in game development. None of that is in Coventry. If someone selling you a website doesn't know that, ask what else they don't know.

Search "web design Coventry" and you'll get a mix of two things.
Some of it is real. Twentytwo Digital and Fly Full Circle both work out of FarGo Village on Far Gosford Street. Create Summit is on Matlock Road. Web Designers Coventry is out in CV5. These are people with CV addresses and 024 phone numbers, and if being able to walk into the office matters to you, start there. We mean that.
Some of it isn't. Blue Whale Media's Coventry page carries an 01925 number, which is Warrington. Creative Ideaz ranks for Coventry from a head office in Birmingham. Neither is doing anything wrong. They just aren't down the road.
Geographically we're in that second group, and here we are telling you: 36 miles, about 45 minutes on the M69. The difference is you didn't have to check the dialling code to find out.
