Concept build An example of what Midlands Code Lab would build for a Nottingham electrical firm. Not a real business. ← Back to MCL
Domestic & commercial · NICEIC-registered (concept)

Tidy work. Certified to prove it.

Rewires, consumer units, EICRs and EV chargers across Nottingham. Every job tested, certificated and left neater than we found it, and you can check the badges yourself before we set foot in the house.

01 / The badges, explained

What the logos on the van actually mean.

Anyone can print a shield on a business card. Here's what each one commits us to, in one line each, and how you'd check it.

SCHEME APPROVED

NICEIC approved contractor

The scheme inspects our work on a regular cycle. It's checked by an assessor, not claimed on a leaflet, and you can look us up on their register.

PART P REGISTERED

Part P registered

We can legally certify our own domestic work. No waiting on building control, and the paperwork lands with you and the council automatically.

18TH ED QUALIFIED

18th Edition qualified

Trained and tested on the current wiring regulations, so what goes in your walls meets today's standard, not the one from a decade back.

£5M INSURED

Insured to £5 million

Public liability cover on every job. If something goes wrong in your home, the policy carries it, not you.

Badge artwork on this concept is an illustrative placeholder. A real build shows the firm's actual scheme logos with registration numbers, linked so a customer can check them in seconds.

02 / The proof

Drag it. That's a morning's work.

A consumer unit swap is the clearest picture of how a firm works. Cables dressed, circuits labelled, the certificate emailed before the invoice.

Customers can't judge the wiring. They can judge the tidiness, and they do.

Before After

Drawn placeholder tiles, not photos, because this page is a concept. A live build uses your own board photos here, and they sell harder than anything I could write.

03 / What we do

Wired, tested, signed off.

04 / Landlords & agents

EICRs, run like a rota.

Portfolios of any size. We track every property's renewal date, book the visits before they're due and send certificates straight to the agent, so nothing lapses and nobody chases. On the live site this is a full page with its own pricing.

Renewal dates tracked for you, not by you
Certificates emailed to agent and landlord on the day
Remedials quoted from the report, no second visit fee
One invoice a month if you'd rather

Send a photo first.

A photo of the board or the job beats a paragraph every time. Attach a couple, add your postcode, and you'll get a straight answer: a price, or the one question we'd ask on a visit.

That's the flow. On the live site this lands in the firm's inbox with the photos attached, and the timewasters filter themselves out before anyone drives anywhere. This page is a concept, so nothing was sent and your photos never left your device.
06 / Word of mouth

What Nottingham says.

"Full rewire with us living in the house. Dust sheets everywhere, sockets back on every evening, and the certificate arrived by email before the invoice did."
Sarah & Tom H · Beeston
"New board in by lunchtime. Every circuit labelled properly, and he walked me round what each switch does before packing up. The old one was held together by hope."
George A · West Bridgford
"Our agent moved all the EICRs to Copper & Line. The certificates just turn up on time, which is more than the last firm managed in three years."
Meera P · landlord, Sherwood
