For electricians · Midlands

Certified, and it shows.

This trade is bought on accreditation and tidy work. NICEIC up top with a line on what it means, consumer-unit photos that look like the van's organised, and a quote form that filters the timewasters.

Accreditations · up top
01 · the real issue

Chosen before you've quoted.

Nobody can judge the wiring, so they judge everything around it. The badges, the tidy board, the named reviews. That's the shortlist decided.

Bought on trust
This trade is chosen on accreditation and tidy work. Both need to be visible before anyone rings, not mentioned once they have.
The evening admin
Job records, certificates, photos stuck on the phone. Typed up after tea because there's no gap in the working day.
The timewasters
Quote enquiries that were never going anywhere, each one costing an evening reply or a wasted drive across town.

That's why this page leads with proof, and so would the site I'd build you. The badges do the talking before you do.

02 · the site

What good looks like for an electrician.

This is Copper & Line Electrical, a concept I built to show the standard. Hover it and it walks through itself.

  • 01Accreditations at the top, explained

Each badge with one line on what it commits you to, and a link where a customer can check it. Checked beats claimed.

  • 02A gallery of finished boards

Tidy consumer units and neat runs. Customers can't judge the wiring, so the tidiness carries the verdict.

  • 03A photo-first quote form

A photo and a postcode before anyone drives anywhere. The serious enquiries sail through and the rest filter themselves.

  • 04Landlord and EICR work on its own page

The repeat side of the trade, treated like the business it is: renewal dates tracked, certificates sent to the agent.

Copper & Line is a concept, not a real firm. Yours gets built on your accreditations, your boards, your patch.

03 · the other half

The paperwork that follows you home.

A site gets the enquiry. These three run underneath it, and every one is a small build.

1

EICR dates, tracked in your head

Today

Every landlord's EICR has its own renewal date, held in your head, a notebook or a spreadsheet from three vans ago. Miss one and the letting agent finds an electrician with a system.

What I'd build

A renewal tracker that nudges the landlord and you before each EICR is due, books the visit and files the certificate. Repeat work that renews itself.

2

Evenings spent typing job records

Today

The work's done by five, the paperwork isn't. Notes and photos sit on the phone until they become an evening job, and the evening job becomes a backlog.

What I'd build

A job log that takes photos and a few notes on site and writes the record for you. The paperwork's done when the van door shuts.

3

Certificates emailed one by one

Today

Every certificate gets found, attached and emailed to the landlord or the agent by hand. Then someone asks for a copy of one from two years back, and the hunt starts again.

What I'd build

Certificates issued, stored and shared automatically, with agents able to fetch their own copies. Nobody digs through sent items again.

Ask about this

If you want the numbers for your own setup, I'll build you a proper ROI on the jobs worth doing. If you've lived these three, that's the point.

04 · what it costs

Priced like the test kit.

Most trades take the subscription: nothing upfront, one monthly amount, and the website stops being a winter job that never happens.

Starter
£149/mo
Nothing upfront · 12-month term

The electrician's site done properly. Accreditations up top and explained, the board gallery, named reviews and the photo-first quote form, hosting and care bundled.

Start with Starter
Rather pay once? Builds start at £595 with care plans from £49 a month. The full ladder is on the pricing page, and I'll always tell you if the smaller option fits.

The neat board sells the next job. Put it where they'll see it.

Fifteen minutes on the phone and I'll tell you what I'd build, what it costs, and whether it's worth doing at all. If your current site just needs the badges moving up the page, I'll say so.
